Complexity will replace MAD Lions in Europe Minor Closed Qualifier after the latter withdraws

Complexity has been given a second chance (or 4th depending on how you’re counting) at the ESL One Rio Major. Due to recent roster changes by MAD Lions, the organization has “withdrawn from the #ESLOne Rio European closed qualifier” according to ESL. Benjamin “blameF” Bremer’s side has been given the spot in return.

This comes following the organization’s announcement that Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen had been benched due to internal issues. Asger “AcilioN” Larsen is being targeted to replace the Danish in-game leader according to a report from DBLTAP. AcilioN is currently on the bench of Copenhagen Flames.

Complexity competed in three of the four open qualifiers and came up short in the semifinals twice in matches against BIG and SMASH leaving them on the outside looking in. Now the team will be looking to prove themself worthy of the opportunity.

The North American and European mix will be taking on Sprout in their opener at the closed qualifier, being placed right into the bracket in place of MAD Lions. Of the 16 teams in attendance, the top 8 will move into Europe Minor in Rio de Janeiro. The Minor is set to be held from April 26th to May 2nd.
