Khan are eliminated from BTS Pro Series Season 3: EU/CIS

Beyond the Summit’s Pro Series Season 3: Europe and CIS have just concluded its penultimate day of Dota 2 action as Khan and Vikin.gg fought for a spot in tomorrow’s lower bracket final against Ninjas in Pyjamas.

After mudgolems completed a rather easy 2-0 victory over NiP
in the upper bracket finals, it was down to the lower bracket where bother
Vikin.gg and Khan were eager to get into the lower bracket final and take on
NiP tomorrow. Both Khan and Vikin had originally begun the event’s playoff
stage in the upper bracket, but loses to both mudgolems and NiP, respectively,
sent them down to the lower bracket. However, both teams survived series
against their opponents to move forward and would now need to play one another
for a chance to reach the grand finals – in a series which was won 2-0 by Vikin
during the group stages.

With the first two games of the series, the two teams were
almost entirely evenly matched, with Vikin dominating game one and taking a
one-sided victory and Khan returning in game two to tie things up at 1-1 after
a 40-minute brawl. With one game to decide it all, Khan picked up a Medusa,
trying to play the game out and take down their opponents. But an Invoker’s Alacrity
on Lifestealer proved to be far too much to deal with as they succumb in 35-minutes
and would be eliminated from the BTS Pro Series Season 3: EU/CIS.

With their victory, Vikin.gg would advance into the lower
bracket finals of the event where they will get another shot at taking down NiP
and maybe get a shot at taking down mudgolems in tomorrow’s grand finals at the
BTS Pro Series Season 3: EU/CIS.
