Amazon has hired Microsoft veteran Angela Hession to take on the role of global vice president of trust and safety at its online streaming platform, Twitch. In her new role, Hession will spearhead efforts to improve online safety in Twitch’s global community.
Prior to joining Twitch, Hession spent nearly 20 years at Microsoft in various roles, most recently as Microsoft’s global head of Xbox trust and safety where she oversaw “Project Artemis,” a program to detect, identify, and report online sexual predators who target minors.
The minimum age to join Twitch is 14-years-old.
Hession’s other roles in her 20-year career at the company included strategy leader and group principal PM lead, HoloLens principal program lead, [email protected] launch principal PM architect, global product launch leader and global senior group manager of new business development at its Ireland headquarters, and worldwide consumer development manager.
