Misfits Gaming Group Partners With ESPAT TV’s Creative Collective

ESPAT TV announced Tuesday the first major esports organization to join its Creative Collective: Misfits Gaming Group (MGG). 

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This partnership encompasses all three of MGG’s franchised teams including League of Legends European Championship (LEC) team Misfits Gaming, Overwatch League (OWL) team the Florida Mayhem, and Call of Duty League (CDL) team the Florida Mutineers.

Through this new partnership, MGG’s media representation rights will be granted to ESPAT TV “across all properties for streaming services and distribution,” excluding MGG’s content creation activities on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube

ESPAT TV will represent the organization on premium projects, which could include programming on linear TV or paid content channels, for example. ESPAT TV describes the deal as multi-directional, in that while it will work with MGG on projects across new platforms, at the same time the organization will be utilized for its expertise in esports and the gaming community.     

Earlier this month, ESPAT TV formally launched its Creative Collective and revealed that Ridley Scott Creative Group had joined alongside other more esports-endemic members such as sports and esports event, movie, and television production company PRG; esports and gaming community-focused content creator Esports Locker; video production and content creation company Unbridled Media; and TikTok-focused agency Movers & Shakers. RSCG is comprised of several film production studios including RSA Films, Scott Free Films, Black Dog Films, and Darling.

While RSCG is best known for its film and television work (Raised By Wolves, Blade Runner 2049, The Aliens series of films, etc.), it has done a fair share of ad and marketing campaigns for brands such as adidas, Peloton, Samsung, Hugo Boss, Polaroid, and many more.
