Riot rolls back VALORANT 1.11 update due to plague of issues amid First Strike qualifiers

Riot is rolling back the 1.11 VALORANT update after it brought about a large number of issues. To make matters a bit worse, the update took place during the ongoing Nerd Street Gamers First Strike open qualifier. To prevent the current string of bugs from impacting the event, Riot will “be rolling back the patch for North America, Brazil, and LATAM (one at a time).”

In addition, the remaining regions updates will be delayed until there is a fix applied. The patch will be redeployed “later in the week” once Riot “can figure out a less disruptive time for the VALORANT First Strike Qualifiers (and a solution, obviously).”

Players took to Twitter quickly after the update to point out various problems since the update took place including 100 Thieves player Joshua “steel” Nissan.

The 1.11 update added Skye as the latest agent and made changes to Cypher, Breach, and Killjoy while adjusting the economy and more. Now it seems those interested in Skye will have to wait a bit longer and Cypher will remain nerf-free for a few more days.
