There are only a few weeks left until the full release of Teamfight Tactics: Galaxies. Yesterday, the League of Legends‘ Public Test Environment (PBE) deployed a new update. The March 9 PBE update includes changes to various champions, a long list of bug fixes and more changes to the new items of Teamfight Tactics: Galaxies.

TFT – Again, big thank you to everyone playing on PBE at the moment. Getting lots of good data! Here are the patch notes for today’s PBE deploy.
(Again, we normally don’t do PBE notes, but for Galaxies want to keep people up to date)

A change to streak bonuses
Streak bonuses, for both wins and losses, are a vital part of building your economy in Teamfight Tactics. With yesterday’s PBE update, the gold rewarded from streaks has drastically changed. The new system increases gold earned from three-streaks and above. Besides this, the new system adds a fourth tier, rewarding 4 gold above a five-streak.
This new system significantly increases the amount of currency available in Teamfight Tactics: Galaxies. This increase in currency should be very exciting to play with, as most team comps have required more gold to complete. Other impacts of the increased amount of gold are the viability of lose-streak strategies. During a portion of set 2, players experimented with purposely losing rounds to build up their economy quicker.

Trait balance of Teamfight Tactics: Galaxies
The most notable trait change in the March 9 update is to the Sorcerer trait. The Sorcerer trait already received a major nerf in the March 6 update. However, now the 6-sorcerer effect sees another 20 percent bonus ability power nerf. The latest version of the Sorcerer trait, however, gains an additional 5 percent bonus ability power at the 2-sorcerer trait. This AP bonus is now up to 20 percent from the previous 15 percent.
A major buff to Thresh
Dozens of champions are getting minor changes in this update. However, one particular change stands out above the rest; Thresh now has 50 out of 85 mana to start the round. This is a massive increase from the previous 0 out of 75 mana required to cast his ability.
For those unfamiliar with Thresh in Teamfight Tactics: Galaxies, he uses his hook to pull an ally from the bench. Allowing Thresh to bring an extra ally into the round far more quickly and consistently is a significant improvement.
