Will the Atlanta FaZe dominate another CDL event this weekend in L.A.?

So far in the Call of Duty League, one team has been unanimously considered the top roster. Though there was some debate two weeks ago, the Atlanta FaZe put all that to rest when they took home the victory in Georgia. While they did run into some trouble against the Minnesota Rokkr, needing a reverse sweep to win, most of the weekend wasn’t a contest.

FaZe steamrolled their competition for the most part, including a sweep against the Florida Mutineers in the CDL Atlanta Finals. However, that was two weeks ago, and other rosters could have closed the skill gap before CDL Los Angeles this weekend.

Should we expect another Atlanta FaZe win?

The CDL has proven so far to feature many solid rosters. We’ve seen several different squads show they have what it takes to win any given event. This isn’t too familiar in Call of Duty esports, as two to three teams have usually dominated the entire season.

However, with so many talented rosters, it’s no surprise that there are several contenders. This weekend at CDL Los Angeles, we’ll see a few of those teams in action. Organizations such as Florida, Minnesota, Atlanta, and Dallas will all be in action, giving us what should be a great viewing experience.

But while the contenders listed above all stand a shot to win, should we expect any other team besides Atlanta to pull out the win? It’s true that FaZe almost lost to Minnesota, but that was the only time all year they’ve come close to losing.

We saw how Florida handled FaZe, losing 0-3 in the CDL Atlanta Finals. Dallas also lost 0-3 against FaZe when they met at Launch Weekend. So, as of right now, the most expected outcome would be Atlanta walking away with another victory. However, we shouldn’t rule out an upset or two occurring with several other high-powered rosters attending the event.
