Pokémon Go’s March Community Day will focus on Fletchling

The next Pokémon Go Community Day will be on March 6 and it’ll feature the bird Pokémon Fletchling.

This is the first Community Day we’re getting in a long time that will add a new Shiny Pokémon to the game. While most players were hoping and expecting the Unovan starter Pokémon to get their turn in the Community Day spotlight, we’re instead getting the bird from the Kalos region. Players can expect to find Shiny versions of Fletchling more often during the event.

The Community Day will host the usual perks: for the six-hour event, Incense will last three hours, XP gained from catching Pokémon will be tripled, and the featured Pokémon will learn a special move when evolved. In this case, Talonflame will learn Incinerate. Incinerate is a great move for PvP, and since Fletchling is a relatively new addition to the game, the Community Day will be a good opportunity to farm candy to evolve it and complete your Pokédex.
