Call of Duty Modern Warfare Battle Royale REVEAL: COD Warzone trailer today?

Activision hasn’t said anything about it yet but it looks like a big Call of Duty Modern Warfare reveal is coming today and it will include a first look at Call of Duty Warzone. The new Battle Royale mode has been one of the worst kept secrets in gaming this year and fans have been growing impatient to find out more about it. And this means something official and not just relying on leaks and reports to fill in the gaps.

The good news is that while Activision hasn’t said anything yet, there have been some major leaks today that suggest COD Warzone will be announced very soon.

Gamers have been spotting adverts for Call of Duty Warzone on Twitch, which have reportedly been popping up since midnight, March 9.

Developers Infinity Ward have been quiet this week on what they have planned update wise, and it appears that’s because Call of Duty Warzone will be released on March 10, 2020.

The latest information suggests that Modern Warfare gamers will get first access to the new Battle Royale mode.

But the good news is that Call of Duty Warzone will be free-to-play, meaning everyone will be able to dip on PS4, Xbox One and PC at a later time.

From what has been shared so far, it’s expected that a new trailer and gameplay footage will be released today.

This will include the first official details regarding Call of Duty Warzone and it will also be followed by a lot of content from YouTubers and Streamers.

Like what was seen with Apex Legends, gamers can probably expect some of the most streamers to be showcasing Warzone this week.

For now, it’s unclear when the official reveal for Call of Duty Warzone will be hosted by Activision, and whether they plan to drop it without prior notice.

As ever, this information remains unverified and while it seems pretty likely that we will learn about Modern Warfare’s new Battle Royale spin off this week, fans will need to keep a close eye on Activision’s social media pages.

Recent reports also suggest that Call of Duty Warzone will run in its own client and will have 200-player matches.

It’s also reported that Warzone will drop as a big update for Modern Warfare on March 10, followed by the free-to-play release.

Gamers will probably hear more about possible Crossplay features for Warzone later today, or perhaps just before the new mode goes live.

It seems likely that this will be supported, at least within Modern Warfare, during launch week.

New reports also suggest that a new PS Plus bundle will be shared for the new launch on the PS4 platform.

This would make sense if Warzone is planning to be F2P, as this is what is usually when a game doesn’t require a PS Plus subscription.

There has been no word yet on what the trailer will include, or how long the footage will be covering the gameplay from the new mode.
