Fans have found evidence that Crash Bandicoot 4 is coming to Nintendo Switch after all, raising speculation of a Smash Bros. announcement.
When Crash Bandicoot 4 was announced recently it was only for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which seemed surprising as, on a technical level, it didn’t appear to be much more complicated than Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which has also been released on Switch.
But it may be that Switch owners aren’t being left out after all, after fans found references to the Switch in the HTML of the game’s website.
This could’ve just been some sort of mistake, but the reference was quickly removed, which is always a good sign that something is true.
There’s zero evidence for that but the theory is that both he and the game will be announced at the same time, as a surprise reveal.
Although vol. 2 of the Smash Bros. Fighters Pass was announced back in January only one fighter has been announced and released so far, in the form of Min Min from ARMS – a character that Nintendo themselves owns.
There’s been rampant speculation on who the other characters are but no official word and no leaks, with Nintendo admitting that DLC development has been adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
But Crash has been a popular fan choice for a long time and with a new game coming out there’s no better time for him to be added from Activision’s point of view…
