Looking to treat yourself to a new console …but don’t want to shell out hundreds in a single payment?
Well, there’s an affordable new proposition that comes from a pretty unlikely place. Yes, EE might be best known for its pay monthly phone contracts, smartwatch plans, and tablets – but that could all be about to change.
Fresh from launching its home security system, EE has now launched a number of all-new gaming bundles. For the first time, you’ll be able to buy a brand-new Nintendo Switch OLED console with one of the most anticipated titles of the year – The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which launched on May 12, 2023.
Get Switch OLED + Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom + Nintendo Online + EE Gamer Pass
£20 View Deal
Get a brand-new Nintendo Switch OLED Model with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, 24-months of Nintendo Switch Online, and an EE Gamer’s Data Pass and Video Data Pass for unlimited streaming and playing on-the-move without eating into your 4G or 5G data allowance.
Contract length: 24-months | Available to new and existing EE customers | Upfront cost: £10
The Switch OLED Model, the flagship console available from Nintendo with more internal storage, a larger and improved OLED screen, and a redesigned kickstand, usually costs £319.99 (although you can find it slightly cheaper when there are good deals).
Meanwhile, the RRP for a brand-new Switch game, like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is £59.99. It also arrives with a 24-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, so you can play with friends and access bonus content for your games. This usually costs £3.49 per month, or £83.76 for the next two years.
Bought together, this bundle would usually cost somewhere around £463.74.

EE is offering that exact bundle for £20 per month. Of course, buying a console from a mobile network, you’d rightly expect more than just a payment plan for a Nintendo console and game. As such, EE also includes its Gamer’s Data Pass and Video Pass. The former allows you to play a number of mobile games in the UK and in EU member countries without using your data allowance.
So, you’ll be able to use Pokémon Go, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, FIFA Mobile, and stream on Twitch on your iPhone or Android without worrying about any unexpected bills.
Likewise, the Video Pass does the same for a number of streaming services – including Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, BBC iPlayer, BT Sport – so you can watch endless content on your phone away from Wi-Fi, even if you have a minuscule allowance of 4G or 5G data linked to your account each month.
The new Switch OLED and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is only available from May 12, when the game is available to buy in the UK. If you’re not a fan of the Zelda series, EE also offers the Nintendo Switch OLED with all of the same perks (but without the game) for the lower price of £17 per month.
This isn’t strictly the first time that EE has offered a gaming experience for its customers, thanks to a long-standing partnership with Xbox Game Pass for its broadband customers. This unlocks dozens of brand-new and classic titles available to download and stream – like a Netflix-style subscription for PC and Xbox owners.
