On their journey to spreading Faye’s ashes, Kratos and Atreus in God of War encounter many challenges. The latest game in the God of War franchise by Santa Monica Studios lets the player control Kratos as he completes his journey. Aside from the main story missions, you can also explore the different realms for loot and collectibles.
Treasures are also sort of collectibles that you can find throughout the game. There are a total of 12 treasures in the game. To find them, you must first find the treasure maps, which will give you a hint to the location of the treasure which is buried.
Where to find Island of Light Treasure Map
You will have to make your way to the Mason’s Channel boat dock near the north side of the Lake of Nine. Dock the boat here and look around the left side of the treasure map lying on the ground. It should be near where you can see the Njord’s Oarsmen statue.
The map will appear in the Goals tab under the Treasure map sub-tab. The next thing you need to do is to find the treasure.
Location of Island of Light Treasure
The treasure map in your inventory will read as follow:
"While we hail from Alfheim, the Light Elves make sure to watch over Midgard. I’ve spent most of my life here at this outpost and I will likely die here."
The clue hints at Light Elves, thus leading you to the Light Elf Outpost. Once you dock your boat, go straight until you reach the light bridge. Once you see the Nornir Chest in front of you, turn back and go straight, jumping over the gap. Take a right and keep going straight until you reach the end of the cliff. You can now look around to find the treasure buried near the edge of the cliff with a view of the waterfall in the distance.
Collecting the treasure will get you an Unyielding Cinder, one Rare Enchantment, some Hacksilver, and five Aegir’s Gold.
