When Xbox Series X/S launch next week, you’ll have immediate access to dozens of the best streaming services, as both consoles will have built-in support for Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, Twitch, Amazon Prime, and Hulu, among others.
Consoles have always given you more entertainment options beyond playing games – the Series X/S are no different. All of your favorite streaming apps are making the next-gen jump, giving you instant access to deep catalogs of movies, television shows, music, and more. Here’s a list of the most popular apps you can expect to see on November 10:
- HBO Max
- YouTube TV
- Amazon Prime Video
- NBC Peacock
- Sky Go
- NOW TV
- Sky Ticket
- Apple TV
Apple TV+ is a big new addition to the Xbox family, with the service available on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S starting November 10. You’ll even be able to sign up for the service directly from your Xbox, with a monthly fee of $4.99 giving you access to exclusive movies and TV shows.
Better yet, several apps – including Netflix, Disney+, and Vudu – are compatible with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, letting you experience these services like never before. Microsoft also said the new Microsoft Store on Xbox is twice as fast as it was on Xbox One, letting you browse and make purchases without any slowdown.
And, to make navigating all these apps a breeze, you’ll be able to take advantage of a new Entertainment block on all Xbox consoles. This will give you viewing suggestions for the most popular shows and movies currently available across all entertainment apps. If you’re new to Xbox, this will be automatically pinned to your home screen. For everyone else, just scroll down to the Add more option on the main menu, then select See All Suggestions. From there, you’ll be able to pin the Entertainment block to your Home screen.
