Two incredibly blurry images of Hideo Kojima's Overdose have leaked online, seemingly showing the same footage that was reportedly leaked earlier this Summer.
Hideo Kojima's next game, Overdose, is one of the worst-kept secrets in the gaming industry right now. Rumoured to be the cloud project that Kojima is working on with Xbox, it was originally thought to be getting announced during Summer Game Fest after a trailer was shared around and then described by insiders.
At the time, that trailer was never leaked any further and wasn't seen by the general public, with only a screenshot of the logo and description of the trailer to go off of. Now, it seems that trailer is getting shared around again, as two leaked screenshots from the trailer have now popped up in glorious potato quality.
We won't be sharing the screenshots here, but they show Margaret Qualley, rumoured to be playing the lead character in Overdose, walking around in a blue dress in some kind of abandoned house. The screenshots are incredibly low quality, so it's hard to see much of anything, but it's clearly Qualley in the footage.
Gaming insider Tom Henderson reported the news via Insider Gaming, where he confirmed that the footage was what he originally saw earlier this year, suggesting that it's the same trailer that was seen earlier that's now being shared around by a few more people.
Henderson said, "The screenshots appear to be from the same video which I reported on back then, suggesting that the footage is now in more people’s hands."
Considering the trailer has been around since this Summer and is now getting out into even more hands, it's possible that we'll be seeing Overdose sooner rather than later. One possible place we'll get to see it is at The Game Awards later this year, as Kojima is known for teaming up with host Geoff Keighley to show off whatever project he's working on at the time.
