Naraka: Bladepoint has only been out for a few months, but the third-person battle royale ninja-fest has already gotten off to a great start. Steam noted it as one of its best-selling games of 2021, while all platforms combined hit over 6 million copies sold worldwide. It’s also one of China's fastest-selling PC games ever, which is probably why it's sending 12 teams to the inaugural Naraka: Bladepoint World Championship.
"24 Entertainment and NetEase welcomes Naraka fans to come together in a huge celebration of the journey so far,” wrote 24 Entertainment in a statement. “Take a seat and prepare to watch thrilling battles of skill, excellence, and virtue as Naraka: Bladepoint makes its world debut on the competitive stage and crowns its first winner."
The Naraka: Bladepoint World Championship will be held from January 13 to January 16, starting each day at 4 PM PT. The opening days will start with regional qualifiers for North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Asia, while the grand finals will arrive on Sunday to crown the grand champions.
24 teams consisting of three players each will be fighting for a grand prize of $1.5 million along with "The Ancient Cup."
