New footage for Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo 2 Resurrected was revealed during the Microsoft showcase at E3 2021. It will launch on September 23, 2021.
The video showed off the improvements made to the classic dungeon crawling action RPG. The game is optimized for Xbox Series X|S and will be playable at 4K 60 FPS. You’ll be able to play on PC and continue your progress on Xbox consoles with the cross progression feature.
The trailer showed off the game’s iconic characters dispatching hordes of enemies via gorgeous looking improved visuals. You can team up with up to seven other players and prepare to return to hell.
Pre orders are live, and will get you access to the game’s early beta.
Besides visual and gameplay improvements, there are some accessibility features in the remake for seeing and hearing impaired players like sound mixing customization, low vision mode, and colorblind mode.
Resurrected also comes with controller support. When you pug in a controller, the entire UI changes from the classic layout to a modern one that allows you to assign skills to four face buttons and two triggers and consume potions with the d-pad. The entire inventory and menu system has been remade for easier controller use, and even the loot that drops on the ground can be spaced out to make looting on the controller easier.
