PS5 Launch Title Destruction AllStars Will Be 60FPS At 4K

Next-gen consoles are all about giving you the best visual experience possible, with many games promising to run at higher resolutions and frame rates. That experience will extend to games of all types, (even some that you may not have thought needed it) including the PS5 launch title Destruction AllStars, which will be running at 60fps and 4K resolution.

Destruction Allstars is described as, “a global sports entertainment event where stars and cars collide.” You will play as one of 16 AllStars as you bulldoze your way to the top of the leaderboards. Unlike other demolition derby games, you’ll also be able to play on foot in third-person mode to complete the game objectives, whatever they may be. And yes, that does include destroying cars while you’re on foot.

Of course, as a PS5 title, all of the mayhem will be rendered in 4K resolution at 60fps. Driving into your opponent’s vehicle is sure to cause a lot of damage, but some of the real danger comes from drivers whose cars have been destroyed. These AllStars—while more vulnerable—present a smaller, harder target. They’ve also got special abilities that can destroy your car in an instant.

Some AllStars have the ability to go invisible and take over your car. Others can become invulnerable, drop buffs and explosives, or simply leave a trail of fire in their wake. Of course, they also have their own unique cars that can be real show stoppers. To spawn those in, you’ll need to cause a certain amount of destruction, but once you do, you’ll get a vehicle unlike anything else.

The game’s campaign features over 50 events spread across five different arenas. You’ll earn emotes, banners, and skins by completing these events. The multiplayer, however, will offer you special events with special rules, a rival tracking system, and 16 player chaos. Suffice it to say, there is going to be a lot going on. Which is why it makes sense for Destruction AllStars to be running with next-gen graphics. Being able to see (and to see clearly) is going to be a major part of the game. We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to get our hands on this one.
