Another weekend, another free game to get your teeth into if you're eager to try something new.
This weekend, to celebrate the launch of some new content for the game, Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Siege will be free to play on all platforms.
The game – which has been going for an impressive five years at this point! – will be free to download and play from March 5 through March 8.
You can download and play the full version of the game during this time, including the absent-at-launch single-player content and the latest expansion, Void Edge.
Check out the game's latest trailer below.
Here are the various times the promotion runs out across different platforms:
- PC: March 5th 5 AM PST – March 9th 6 AM PST.
- Xbox One: March 5th 5 AM PST – March 9th 1 PM PST. Xbox Live Gold Subscription required.
- PS4: March 5th 12 AM PST – March 8th 6 PM PST.
During the free weekend, anything you earn in terms of the game's currency (called Renown) can be used to unlock additional Operators in the in-game shop.
Any progress you make in the game will carry through if you decide to purchase the game once the trial period is over.
If you're keen on purchasing the game once you've had your trial, it's worth nothing that you can grab the title for an impressive 75% off via the game's website until the trail period is over.
"Engage in tense, tactical firefights involving team gameplay to best the enemy teams with an ever-growing arsenal of gadgets and Operators to play as," reads a quick blurb from Ubisoft.
