Rainbow Six Siege released a new update today on PS4, Xbox One and PC. However, since the release of the latest patch (Y5S2.1 Patch) it seems as though some players on Xbox are still having issues.
Downtime for all consoles was staggered and only supposed to take 20 minutes, however, there's currently a large contingent of players on Xbox One experiencing an issue.
Most report being stuck on an error message that reads: "validating and updating playlists and properties”
Here's just a small cross selection of the players all reporting similar issues with the game:
" @Rainbow6Game There is a issue right now where me and my friends can’t get into the server it says validating playlists and property’s but won’t load can u resolve this ?"
" @Rainbow6Game game stuck saying “validating and updating playlists and properties”. won’t load, multiple friends having the same problem."
" @Rainbow6Game is there a problem with xbox one servers? My game is just loading saying ' validating and updating play lists and properties'"
The good news, if you want to see it that way, is that Ubisoft Support are aware of the issues and are currently attempting to fix the game.
"Hey Operators!" a tweet from the support account begins "We're aware of the issues affecting connectivity in Rainbow Six Siege and are working towards resolving this ASAP."
The team also linked to a forum page, but there's little other information on what is causing the problem or indeed how long the issues might last.
More to follow.
