EA seems to be preparing for a stealth release of a mysterious new Star Wars game set during the original trilogy.
So here’s an odd one. Fans sifting through updates on PSN have discovered a reference to a previously unknown Star Wars game, called Project Maverick.
The Twitter account PSN Releases turned up not just the name (which is odd in itself as it doesn’t seem to reference anything from the movies) but also the image above, but alas no text describing what any of it means.
You can clearly see X-wing fighters at the bottom and the Star Destroyer is an Imperial I-class, that had been phased out by the time of The Empire Strikes Back. Which means whatever Maverick is it’s set in the same general time period as both A New Hope and video game Fallen Order.
