Steam DOWN: Server status latest, Could not connect to network errors


Though reports on Down detector are still topping over 1000 reports, it would appear as though the Steam store is coming back online.

Indeed the Steam Server status page is showing as all services working as they should.

We'll be sure to update the page should the services take another turn for the worse.

  • ORIGINAL STORY – Steam users are facing a frustrating night ahead with reports coming in that the steam store is offline and not working.

    The popular online gaming platform appears to be having issues which started at around 9pm BST this evening with gamers still unable to log in to their accounts.

    Independent outage monitor Down Detector has received a surge of Steam down reports with the majority of issues relating to connection problems.

    The Down Detector outage map says the Steam down issues are mainly hitting users in the UK, Europe and parts of the US.

    So, everywhere, pretty much.

    There's currently no word on what is causing the issues or when they will be fixed.

    However, Steam users have taken to social media to complain of the issues.

    One gamer said: "Is the Steam server currently down? I was disconnected while playing Borderlands 2. The Steam client said disconnected. Also, the website seems to be down"

    Whilst another added: “The feeling you get when Steam goes down and you realize that even though you paid for all your games, you don't actually own or have any copies on your computer and you could lose hundreds of games and hundreds of dollars…"
