Streamer xQc Loses Nearly $2 Million To Online Casinos, Admits Gambling Addiction

The popular streamer xQc recently revealed that he lost nearly $2 million while in online casinos during a podcast with another content creator, Pokimane. This comes only days after xQc admitted to having a severe gambling addiction.

The content creator said during the podcast that he not only gambles in online casinos, but also in competitive online games. Pokimane asked the question "would you have as much fun gambling if you were doing it offstream than onstream?” to which xQc replied “yeah, I’m addicted. I lost $1.85 million this month."

Pokimane pointed out that xQc could be negatively impacting his viewers when he streams himself gambling, something which he can frequently be found doing. The content creator agreed, but noted that he is no longer taking sponsorships from online casinos.

“Every game I play, all I do is gamble,” xQc previously admitted. “GTA, I gamble. Gambling Simulator, I do the whole game gambling. Everywhere I go, I just gamble. “I have one of the biggest, most insanely addictive personalities you’ll ever find. I’m addicted to everything I do.”

While the streamer has often warned his viewers not to follow his example, xQc appears to be either unwilling or unable to control his gambling. The content creator has mentioned on multiple occasions that he has no plans to stop gambling because he has more than enough money to afford any potential losses.

“I’m just easily addicted, so I just shouldn’t gamble,” xQc remarked. “I still do it. Is that good? No, that’s terrible. That’s an illness. That’s ill. I’m ill. But you know what, I can afford to be ill. I’m lucky.”

The streamer has over 10 million followers and is currently one of the highest paid content creators on Twitch. According to a leak around the end of last year, xQc was the second highest paid person on the platform at nearly $8.5 million a year.
