When will the FIFA 21 web app and game be available?

The start of the new football season means the latest generation of football video games aren’t far off. FIFA 21 is the 28th instalment in the legendary FIFA series, is the mother of all of them, and it’s coming out very soon.

PSG and France poster boy Kylian Mbappe is the cover star, and to nobody’s surprise, he’s one of the highest-rated players in the game with an overall rating of 90 – level with Liverpool foursome Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson.

FIFA 21 price and release date

FIFA 21 is coming out slightly later than usual on Friday, October 9, though you can get early access from Tuesday, October 6 by pre-ordering the Champions Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game.

Gamers will be able to play it on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC right from the off, and EA Sports has confirmed that it’ll come to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Google Stadia at a later date.

The Standard Edition starts at £59.99 on PlayStation and Xbox, while you’ll have to pay £20 extra for the Champions Edition, which gets you early access, up to 12 FIFA Ultimate Team Rare Gold Packs, and Career Mode Homegrown Talent.

FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition costs £10 more than the Champions Edition on PlayStation and Xbox, and adds up to 24 FIFA Ultimate Team Rare Gold Packs.

Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi (93) is the highest-rated player in the game, putting him just out ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo (92), Robert Lewandowski (91), Kevin de Bruyne (91), Neymar (91) and Jan Oblak (91).

EA has also confirmed the strongest Premier League starting XI in FIFA 21: Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold (87), Virgil van Dijk, Aymeric Laporte (87), Andrew Robertson (87); Kevin de Bruyne, Ngolo Kante (88), Bruno Fernandes (87); Mohamed Salah, Sergio Aguero (89), Sadio Mane.

FIFA 21 web app release date

The FIFA 21 web app, which lets you manage your Ultimate Team and customise everything about your club ahead of FIFA 21’s official release, will launch at 6pm BST on Wednesday, September 30.
