Garfield is in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl now. The Monday-hating cat was added to the game as a free DLC character last Thursday, and although Nickelodeon isn’t typically associated with Garfield, Viacom purchased the rights to the fat orange tabby in 2019, and since Viacom owns Nickelodeon, the corporate transitive property means that we get Garfield in Nickelodeon’s brawler.
Anyway, Garfield seems like a fine addition to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and there’s at least one NASB player out there who likes Garfield so much that he’s decided to main him.
Xbox loves Garfield too. So much that they’ve plastered his face all over an Xbox Series S and decided to give it away in a Twitter sweepstakes.
Entering the contest is simple. Just follow the official Xbox account, retweet the contest post below, and use the hashtag #XboxGarfieldSweepstakes. That’s it.
All participants must be 18 or older, limited to one entry per participant, and you must be a follower of @Xbox and on a public or unprotected Twitter account so that you can be DM’d if you win. The winner will be notified via Twitter on December 29. After that, you’ll get the late Christmas gift of a lasagna-eating Xbox.
In other All-Star Brawl news, it seems there’s more evidence for Shredder arriving as the game’s next DLC character. Another datamine has found Shredder’s level in an unfinished state. Featuring the Statue of Liberty and yellow railings, the level seems to be a clear reference to Turtles in Time, a beloved arcade-style beat-’em-up from the Super Nintendo era.
Ludosity hasn’t confirmed Shredder’s arrival in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, but two datamines are pretty strong evidence for the Ninja Turtle villain. As for whether or not someone will main Shredder after less than 24 hours, that’s something we’ll just have to wait for.
