During PAX East, Larian Studios, the developers of Baldur’s Gate 3, will be playing some of their newest title at the convention. It will be streamed here on GameSpot and on the Stadia YouTube channel for those who are not able to attend PAX East in person.
Live right now–the stream started at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET / 8 PM GMT on Thursday, February 27–Larian’s lead designer and head of studio Swen Vincke and a ‘special guest’ will be previewing some gameplay from Baldur’s Gate 3. You can still watch this below or check out our in-depth feature on Baldur’s Gate 3’s legacy or our breakdown of the cinematic intro.
Originally announced back at a pre-E3 event for Google Stadia in mid-2019, Baldur’s Gate 3 is being pushed by Dungeons & Dragons owners Wizards of the Coast to merge the tabletop gaming experience with the the video game scene. Baldur’s Gate 3 is just one of the titles that will be a part of this initiative, with several unannounced games in development.
While it may be on the Stadia YouTube channel, Baldur’s Gate 3 is not a Stadia exclusive or even a timed-exclusive release like many other titles coming to Stadia. Baldur’s Gate 3 will be hitting PC via Steam early access sometime this year, but no release has been announced for Stadia as of yet.
GameSpot will be at PAX East, and you can check out all our coverage of its games on our hub.
