After the large-scale reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War earlier this week, we’re starting to get more of the pieces of the puzzle, thanks to new footage show during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live stream. While the initial reveal showed brief glimpses of a computer-generated Ronald Reagan, today’s new trailer gives him a whole speech.
We already knew that Treyarch and Raven Software’s new Black Ops game is a direct sequel to the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, telling the story of Woods, Hudson, and the gang as they fend off a Russian threat. It seems that a Russian operative codenamed Perseus has been wreaking havoc in the United States for generations, and now the agent is back to finish the job.
Sending you on the mission? None other than the Gipper himself. Given some of his history, we may want to take a pass on this one.

The next Call of Duty game is Black Ops: Cold War
While today’s footage was entirely focused on the campaign’s story, there’s still a lot about the multiplayer side we don’t know, outside of some direct connections to Warzone. Further information is expected to drop on Sept. 9, as Activision has the multiplayer embargo scheduled for that date.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled to release on Nov. 13, with versions planned for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, as well as Windows PC.
