Last year Nintendo launched the handheld-only Switch Lite in three different colours: Grey, Turquoise, and Yellow. If those colors didn’t do it for you, however, Nintendo has a new option: Coral (pink). The color releases April 3–just a couple of weeks after Animal Crossing: New Horizons releases on March 20–and is available for pre-order right now.
Like previous models, the Coral Nintendo Switch Lite is $200 USD. Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and GameStop are all taking pre-orders.

The Nintendo Switch Lite can play almost every game in the Nintendo Switch library, though it doesn’t come with detachable Joy-Cons. You’ll need to buy them separately for certain games, such as Ring Fit Adventure and 1-2-Switch. The Switch Lite also can’t dock and output to a TV, so you’ll be restricted to using it in handheld mode. It doesn’t feature a kickstand either, so if you want to use it in tabletop mode, you’ll need a controller and kickstand accessory–check out GameSpot’s choices for the best Switch accessories in 2020.

The Switch Lite is also a lot smaller than the regular Nintendo Switch, making handheld mode a much more pleasant experience. It comes equipped with a D-pad as well, which is a big win for people who enjoy playing the Switch’s huge library of 2D platformers.
